Half hour happenings
Added on 28 October 2012
Half hour happenings are informal get togethers for all ages held once a month, usually on the last Sunday of the month, at North Connel village hall. These are a chance for fellowship, fun and refreshment in a different setting to our normal Church services. They are so much fun they usually last longer than half an hour!
Our last half hour happening followed our harvest festival & the theme was 'the woods are lovely'.
We made our trees together first, then sat 'surrounded by them', identifying sounds such as chain saws, log extraction, roe deer, capercaille and willow warbler. Then we sang songs, listened to a reading from Psalm 96, joined together in prayer and had our 'picnic'.
